This is an autobiographical book of testimonies of the individual times when God has made Himself known to me, either in a whisper, or flat-out knocked my socks off. He's like that. Explore with me the connection between our wet drippy world and the glorious indescribable Creator God who goes to great lengths to display His love for each of us in ways that are as unique as we are. At the end of each testimony, there are reflection questions and scripture to bring you closer to the essence of God's grace. For those who haven't opened the doors of faith, feel free to be curious. What can it hurt? I'm not here to preach, but to just tell my story and what I've learned along the way.
I'm not a cat, but I have lived several lives, so to speak. Short and sweet, I had a crazy ride as a youngster, but that only got my gumption up to keep on, keeping on, and learn how to trust God along the way. Twelve years were spent traveling in an international, multi-denominational Christian theater ministry that took me to thirty States, and twenty-three countries on four continents. Joined the US Navy as a Chaplain's Assistant & was age 34 in boot camp. Took a military flight to visit a Swiss friend in Switzerland (CH) and ended up meeting my Swiss husband. After an honorable discharge, I lived in CH for twenty years where our couple got busy forming prayer groups, youth groups, leading couples, and prayer-n-paint workshops, going to international conferences as the delegates for all French speaking prayer groups in CH. Took theology courses at the University of Fribourg, and became a high school English teacher - not all at the same time...I love to do artsie-fartsie things: to quilt, watercolor paint, to make stained glass windows and self-designed wooden furniture, and drive my husband crazy for the past twenty-seven years.

Touches of God Ministry exists to communicate the living and active Lord Jesus Christ. We testify to this through sharing personal testimonies in books, faith-sharing workshops and other services, as the Lord leads. The goal is to encourage people to practice sharing what God has done in his or her life in order to fortify his or her faith and to make disciples of all people for the glory of God.
We are a family of the LORD GOD (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). By sharing our common experiences in Christ, we strengthen our Christian culture and build tighter family-bonds and resist attacks in a growing secular society. To fulfill our mission to being a living witness to make disciples for Christ, the Church needs to come together more unified than ever before. The Lord has given us faith building and evangelization tools, one being that of sharing personal testimonies, of which others cannot refute. Our mission is not to argue theology, but to share what God has done in order to build hope for a brighter future in Christ.
This mission is our grace-filled response to the Reign of God in the world announced by Jesus Christ. To that end, with joy, dedication, and prayer, we commit ourselves to:
The Trinity, Father, Jesus Christ his Son, and the Holy Spirit whose grace is active everywhere, at all times, on Earth and in the heavenly realm, carrying out God’s purpose as revealed in the Bible. “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:8)
The Bible as the inspired Word of God.
One Baptism in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The virgin birth of Jesus Christ and other evidence of Him being the promised Messiah.
The promised return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that we are each born again through repenting of our sin, and accepting the Grace and Love of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that we are blessed when we read His Word and do what it says.
We believe that our purpose on earth is to learn how to love God and others.
We believe that we have a heavenly home that is beyond this earthly existence, built by Christ for those who seek to love Him and do His will in a shared, personal relationship - for better or for worse.
“Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it.” (Revelation 1:3)
The workshops are designed to:
Teach Christians to be more aware of the moving of the Holy Spirit in and around his/her daily life and the importance of having a consistent prayer life.
Teach the importance of keeping a record of his/her testimonies. By doing this, he/she will be able to better recall and solidify the details of specific events, and remember God’s blessings, to thank Him and give Him the glory.
To learn how personal testimonies can be specifically used as an evangelization tool without arguments or ‘Bible bashing.’
Provide a place for a person to recall and practice sharing his/her testimonies about how Christ has touched his/her life. The more someone practices, the more confident he/she will become, thus be able to share with others personal testimonies to encourage those in the Body of Christ, as well as to evangelize those who are outside of the Church.
Jesus' words in Matthew provide the Church with our mission: "Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything that I've commanded you.
Matthew 28:19-20
You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your being, and with all your mind. . . . You must love your neighbor as you love yourself.
Matthew 22:37, 39
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.
1 Peter 3:15
